Our Advice Process

We have a six stage process which runs as follows:

Stage 1

We hold our first “Discovery” meeting with you for up to one hour entirely at our expense and with no obligation for you to proceed further. It is impossible to tell someone how to get somewhere unless you know where they are starting out from. We will listen to what you want from a professional financial adviser, help you to articulate your financial goals (where you want to be) and ask about your current arrangements (where you are now).  This will establish whether we can be of service to you. If we believe we can deliver a value for money service to you, we will explain how we can help you and the costs of our services. You can choose to pay our fees directly or to have them paid by charges applied to any investment products. If we then reach mutual agreement on working together we can quickly move to the next stage of our process.

Stage 2

If you engage us we will need to gather as much information as possible about your current financial arrangements, personal circumstances and your attitude to investment risks. This often involves us contacting the providers of your plans and policies to obtain up to date information on valuations, underlying investments and benefits.

Stage 3

Analysis of data using the most up to date software research systems and the resources of 2Plan Wealth Management’s research department allows us to research the best arrangements for you. We try to evaluate opportunities for making your resources work most effectively for you. In identifying appropriate strategies, we consider the taxation and other implications. As part of this we consider  whether any changes to your existing arrangements represent part of an appropriate strategy.

Stage 4

We will create a written report of recommendations for you including investments, retirement plans, protection policies and the best uses of your existing assets. The report will highlight the best ways you can move towards achieving your financial goals. We use a consistent process when it comes to investing our clients’ money which is outlined on the last page of this document. We will meet with you to present these recommendations, elicit your views and agree what actions, if any need to be taken next.

Stage 5

If you decide to take action as a result of our report, we can arrange all necessary steps to ensure your decisions are implemented thoroughly, accurately and in a timely and efficient manner.

Stage 6

Financial Planning is not a “one-off” event and your plan or solution may need to be adjusted periodically to take account of changes to your situation, circumstances, changes in legislation, taxation or possibly if new, more suitable, solutions become available. If you want ongoing services we can include this in your agreement with us to ensure your plan continues to meet your requirements.
